On July 14, 2020, the Director-General of Public Service participated in a Forum on Open Eskola: an open school model of citizenship for Public Governance in the Basque Country.

The objective of this commitment is to help develop a guide that allows municipalities and territories to establish schools open to citizenship as meeting and learning spaces in the Basque Country to promote a more active citizenship in public affairs and an administration more open to accountability and continuous improvement.

Through the different Open Eskolas, a participatory and collaborative culture is promoted in Basque society, which is also a reference for its implementation at the different territorial levels.
