MUFACE’s electronic prescription already covers all regional CAAs

01/07/2020

The 342,378 MUFACE mutualists from all the autonomous communities receiving healthcare through the Public Health Service can already benefit from the non-prescription of their medicines. Only the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, managed by the INGESA, are left out of the measure.

With the addition of La Rioja, whose 3,196 public choice mutualists are already able to make use of the electronic prescription, MUFACE completed the assistance map through this medium, which means compliance with the guidelines of the Agreement adopted on November 15, 2018 by the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System and the completion of the project star of the 2017-2020 Mutuality Impulse Plan.

The effort made by MUFACE, the public health services of all the autonomous communities and the General Council of Official Associations of Pharmacists (CGCOF), among others, to minimize as much as possible the impact of the health crisis caused by COVID-19, has allowed to give this final thrust to the electronic prescription, thus ensuring greater safety and better traceability of dispensed drugs, also avoiding large unnecessary displacements.

Great progress in the concerted

To the success of the implementation of the public electronic prescription in all the autonomous communities, it is accompanied by the great advances made in the implementation of the electronic prescription agreed for mutualists attached to the different health entities included in the Concert 2020-2021 of MUFACE.

Following the launch on 4 May of this system in Cantabria, of which more than 15,000 mutualists have benefited, steps are already being taken to progressively extend the agreed electronic prescription to the rest of the country. To this end, the Mutuality counts on the collaboration and good work of both the CGCOF and the health entities involved.
