The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures, Antonio Hernando, and the president of LALIGA, Javier Tebas, have today signed a memorandum of understanding whose objective is the promotion of a culture of security, in order to create a reliable and secure cyberspace. The initiatives included in the agreement will be designed and carried out by the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), an entity dependent on the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Public Service and LALIGA.
Through this agreement, the two entities will collaborate in the prevention and awareness of cybersecurity and cyber technological risks that could affect sports clubs and limited companies, football fans and society in general, with special focus on vulnerable groups and minors.
The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures has thanked the commitment of an entity such as LALIGA to promote a culture of cybersecurity. “Cybersecurity is an essential pillar of digital transformation. The increasing use of technologies places many people in a vulnerable situation, especially the youngest ones. The 017 service, managed by INCIBE, is a fundamental tool to help all users of the Internet in the problems that may arise in the digital environment. Thanks to LALIGA, it will now improve its visibility among football fans as well.”
For his part, Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, detailed: “EProfessional football has a social responsibility that goes beyond the playing field, as we have demonstrated with multiple initiatives. This agreement with INCIBE reinforces our commitment to a secure digital environment, based on respect and trust, and allows us to work in a coordinated way to raise awareness, prevent risks and protect our community.”

Service 017 -Your Help in Cybersecurity
In addition, LALIGA will disseminate service 017, a national service, free and confidential, managed by INCIBE, whose objective is to help Internet users solve digital security problems that may arise in their daily lives.
According to data from INCIBE, the 017 service -Your Help in Cybersecurity received more than 138,000 inquiries in 2025, 40% more than the previous year, an increase that was more prominent in the last months of the year, after the institutional advertising campaign under the slogan “If something digital worries you, the 017 is occupied”.
