The regulatory bases and the call for grants for infrastructures of the digital audiovisual ecosystem are published
The Official State Gazette has published the bases that regulate the granting of aid to local entities for the creation or improvement of infrastructures of the digital ecosystem in the audiovisual sector, as well as its first call corresponding to the year 2022 managed by Red.es, an entity attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.
This line of aid is aimed at financing actions that facilitate the creation, distribution and use of information and the most advanced technology among the SMEs and micro-enterprises in the audiovisual sector to overcome their digital barriers and to undertake their projects.
The call has a budget of 24.8 million euros and is aimed at local entities or groups of them that, according to the last register of the INEhave a population of at least 100,000 inhabitants and develop projects to strengthen the infrastructures they put at the service of the SMEs of the audiovisual sector, through equipment related to the intensive use of information and communication technologies and digital devices in this environment. This will make it possible to bridge the digital divide of the SMEs Spanish and improve their competitiveness in a global environment.
Potential beneficiaries include municipalities, provinces, islands, counties (or townships) and officially constituted local entity groupings. As beneficiaries of this aid, which is granted on a competitive basis, they will be the ones who assume the realization of the actions and projects that support the SMEsand micro-enterprises through direct or indirect exploitation – subject to a call for concessions between interested companies.
Interested entities will be able to submit their applications from tomorrow until September 19 at the electronic headquarters of Red.es, entity in charge of the procedure for granting aid, on a competitive basis.
This aid is part of the investment deployment of the Recovery Plan, which includes the development of the ‘Spain Hub Audiovisual’ for the modernization and digitalization of the audiovisual sector. This program is part of the ‘Spain’ Plan Hub Audiovisual of Europe’, one of the axes of the Digital Spain agenda endowed with 1.6 billion euros of investment until 2025.
