Madrid, 5 April 2024.- The application deadline for Muface’s socio-sanitary protection aid for 2024 begins today, after its publication yesterday in the BOE. The aid, which may be requested until the end of the year, is to cover certain expenses related to the seven programmes in force: chronic psychiatric disease, celiac disease, oncological disease, for drug addiction and other addictions, to facilitate personal autonomy, for temporary stays in assisted residences or day and night centres, and for people in dependency.
With regard to the novelties of the call for this year, the increase in the amounts of aid to facilitate personal autonomy, and in the programs of temporary stays in assisted residences and for people in drug dependency situations stand out.
The aid programme for people in situations of drug dependency has been renamed “Aid programme for care of drug dependency and other addictions” because the assumptions are extended to accommodate situations of dependency without substance, such as addiction to gambling games (in-person and online) or videogames. Also, in this edition, the caps, scarves and oncological turtles are incorporated to the already existing hair prostheses, in order to cover all the options of aid in hair loss derived from the oncological treatment received.
Since this year, applications for all the programs can be submitted at Muface’s electronic headquarters. Request screens in electronic headquarters have been expanded, revised and improved to make them simpler and more intuitive. In addition, the submission of non-electronic applications may continue to be made in the offices and through other administrative records.
