José Luis Escrivá meets with Inés Rey to specify the latest details of the implementation of the AESIA
The Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service, José Luis Escrivá, has met with the mayor of A Coruña, Inés Rey, at the headquarters of the Ministry. Among the topics they have addressed has been the calendar for the beginning of the activity of the Spanish Agency for Supervision of Artificial Intelligence (AESIA), based in A Coruña.
Escrivá has informed Rey that the deadline for the submission of candidacies for the management of the institution ends tomorrow, May 9. Subsequently, the evaluation committee will meet to analyze the candidacies received, with the expectation that the new director will be appointed before the end of May. Once the director or director of the AESIA, the institution will begin the selection processes of the rest of the staff during the month of June with the aim of starting to operate as soon as possible.
In addition, Escrivá and Rey have discussed the advances in the agreement by which the City of A Coruña will cede to the Ministry the building in which the AESIA It will have its headquarters in that city.
