The My Citizen Folder app incorporates new features demanded by citizens

The goal of My Citizen Portfolio is for most of the state’s digital public services to be accessible via mobile by the end of 2025.
March 27, 2023. The app "My Citizen Folder", mobile application launched by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in order to improve the interaction between administration and citizenship, has published last March a new version, which includes some of the functionalities and improvements demanded by users.
My Citizen Portfolio aims to promote the development of quality mobile services for the main public services, creating around the Administration an open source developer community, and that most of the State’s digital public services will be accessible through mobile by the end of 2025.
Check the social security number, the employment situation of the last twelve months, access the history of social benefits and download the supporting documents, or the distribution of notices and news in the mobile application in real time, are some of the new tools of the mobile application, which seeks to simplify the relationship between administration and citizenship through the Internet, interacting in an accessible, proactive and personalized way from any device.
The app is already a download leader. Since its launch, at the end of last year, the 900,000 downloads of the applications have been exceeded, exceeding 100,000 in the first two months in Google Play, and more than 1,400,000 unique users have accessed to consult their data in it, being high the assessment by the people who use it, reflected in the reviews on the application.
In addition, the General Secretariat of Digital Administration, responsible for developing the app, has been awarded in the first edition of the National Computer Engineering Awards, promoted by the General Council of Professional Associations of Computer Engineering of Spain (CCII), in the category "Best public project".
My Citizen Folder, Road Map
My Citizen Portfolio is a living and constantly growing project, which will incorporate new services and agencies as a source of information for citizens. To know the demands and suggestions of the users, it has an open space to send contributions and proposals.
Regarding the new functionalities in progress, the General Secretariat of Digital Administration has published the Roadmap for the year 2023 and 2024, To continue improving the solution. The purpose is that My Citizens’ Portfolio offers a transversal vision of all administrations, allowing citizens access to the services and information of unified public administrations from one point.
Among the additions after the feedback with the citizens during the months of March and April, are the exchange of the own data made by the Public Administrations through the DataTracker Intermediation Platform, the consultation on being aware of tax obligations, or visualizing alerts of the fiscal calendar of the income tax.
The new functionalities arising from the analysis of the SGAD and of the agreements with different actors, incorporate the notices after the expiration date of citizen documentation that must always be in force (ID, driving license, ITVs), and the referencing and connection with outstanding APPs of the AGE that allow to expand the functionalities of citizen folder, making use of services such as those of miDGT, EAT and seg-social.
My Citizen Folder is the first mobile application within the media App Factory of the Digitization Plan of Public Administrations , within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
