This initiative aims to train a total of almost 95,000 SME managers and is contemplated in component 19 of the Recovery Plan, “National Digital Skills Plan”.

The aid of this call, in the form of a grant, is directed to Reference Training Entities in Spain. These Entities They will be in charge of imparting the training program throughout the national territory.
The “Digital Generation SMEs” initiative is articulated in two training itineraries:
• Cultural change in SMEs: Training and mentoring in digital transformation for people of management teams and qualification of People employed in SMEs.
• Agents of Change: Training and mentoring unemployed young people and SME workers to be the experts who will contribute to the digitalization process of the SME.
These projects are intended for the first time:
1. Offer managers of SMEs of between 10-249 workers the knowledge and skills necessary to promote the digital transformation of their companies and thereby improve productivity and their possibilities for growth and internationalization.
2. Offer future “agents of change” the knowledge and skills necessary for their incorporation or requalification in the labor market as agents of digital transformation.
3. Show how technology impacts businesses, allowing the customer to be placed at the center to solve their needs, and generate and exploit data for business decision making.
4. Provide the entrepreneurial fabric with talent with the ability to implement concrete and specific actions under an Action Plan.
5. Reduce the digital gender gap by increasing the number of women trained in digital management in SMEs.
The EOI Foundation is in charge of managing the investment planned for this initiative, which in its first call for applications amounts to 199 million euros (147.5 M for “Digital Generation SMEs” and 51.5 M for “Digital Generation Agents of Change”), from the funds of the Recovery Plan.
Applications to be a Training Entity can be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the EOI Foundation and the term will remain open for one month from the publication of the call in the BOE.
In a few weeks, EOI will open a pre-registration process for SMEs, managers, workers and the unemployed for which a “training voucher” will be awarded that will be applied in the entities selected in the calls. Subsequently, once the Training Entities are selected, within approximately three months, the registration process will be opened by which each person can freely choose the entity where they will receive the training.
This call for aid is contemplated within Component 19, “National Digital Capabilities Plan”, of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which has a global allocation of 3,593 million euros and the objective of ensuring the digital formation and inclusion of citizens and workers, leaving no one behind in the process of digital transformation of society and the economy.
