In 2021 the budget amounts to 17 million euros.
The ENISA Digital Entrepreneurs line is aimed at both start-ups and those considering a consolidation, growth or internationalization project.
The implementation of this new line aims to promote business projects promoted by one or more women who hold a relevant position of leadership or power within society: in the shareholding, in the management body or as part of the management team.
It is a question of companies whose activity is the development and commercialization of innovative technological tools, such as those belonging to any sector (not necessarily technological), being immersed in a process of adaptation to new technologies, in order to improve or increase their competitiveness and efficiency, having the necessary funding.
    Equity loans
The financial instrument, managed through ENISA, is the participative loan, with amounts between 25,000 and 1,500,000 euros, which does not require more guarantees than those of the business project itself and a solvent management team.
Companies will have to have their registered office in Spain and present viable business projects technically and economically, as well as having an innovative business model, new or with clear competitive advantages.
Companies such as Oblumi, Holaluz, We are Knitters, Lefrik, Marsi Bionics, Agroptimum or Biohope, among many others, are a sample of some of the cases of female entrepreneurship financed by ENISA in its initial stages or in successive phases of expansion, which have excellent trajectories.
The reality is that the participation of women in technology-based start-ups is still low, and according to the latest available data only 15.6% of Spanish startups were founded by women. It is necessary to continue implementing measures that promote women’s digital entrepreneurship and reduce the gender gap in this area. This is one of the main objectives of the strategy Spain Digital 2025as well as of Digitization Plan for SMEs and of Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan in which this new line of financing is framed.
