The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation has today published a request for expressions of interest to receive proposals that allow the strengthening of cybersecurity capacities of SMEs and the promotion of the cybersecurity industry.
Esta solicitud, que se realiza a través del Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad (INCIBE), se enmarca en el Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and in the agenda España Digital 2025, which has cybersecurity as one of its ten strategic axes.
INCIBE, through its Strategic Plan 2021-2025, incorporates several lines of action aimed, on the one hand, at strengthening the cybersecurity capabilities of Spanish companies, with special attention to SMEs.
On the other hand, it aims to promote the growth and internationalization of the Spanish cybersecurity industry, as well as to increase and improve R+D+i capabilities linked to cybersecurity and identify, generate and develop talent in this sector.
Through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Spanish economy, we want to reinforce these lines of action, developing various initiatives that will allow the strengthening of cybersecurity capabilities and the promotion of the ecosystem of this industry.
To guarantee the achievement and efficiency of these lines of action, this request for public-private collaboration is launched, which will allow the identification of specific instruments, initiatives or actions to achieve the objectives set.
To this end, all proposals that support the strengthening of the cybersecurity of Spanish SMEs, that raise the level of awareness and capacity, and promote the dissemination and knowledge of cybersecurity technology in the economic and business fabric will be valued.
Likewise, the contributions should focus on challenges such as the dynamization and promotion of Spanish cybersecurity companies through entrepreneurship, internationalization, the improvement of R+D+I capabilities, the identification and generation of talent or the development of competitive services and solutions that respond to the growing needs of prevention, protection and response to cybersecurity incidents.
The proposals must be aligned with the implementation of the Agenda Spain Digital 2025, and that incorporates cybersecurity as one of its ten strategic axes, highlighting the prominent role of cybersecurity for the sustainable and reliable development of the digital economy.
The request for expressions of interest will remain open until April 21 at 7 p.m. and can be consulted. here.
