The National Innovation Company (ENISA), dependent on the Ministry, will manage the line to finance SMEs and entrepreneurs in the ICT sector.
Within the framework of actions of the Digital Agenda for Spain, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism launches a line of participatory loans to projects promoted by entrepreneurs and SMEs in the ICT sector in order to promote the creation of companies and the launch of new products and services.
Loans of between 25,000 euros and 300,000 euros will be granted with a maximum maturity of 9 years and a maximum of 7 years of absence. Participatory loans are financing instruments that provide long-term resources to companies without interfering in their management with interest rates linked to the evolution of the results of the same.
The measure is part of a broader action of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, through the National Innovation Company (ENISA). EUR 106 million will be allocated to three lines of participative loans for: business projects promoted by small and medium-sized enterprises; technology-based companies; and entrepreneurs in the ICT sector (Digital Agenda line).
The objective of these lines is to promote the creation of companies and contribute to the generation of employment. It is estimated that they will cover about 500 business projects, inducing an investment of 850 million euros and the creation of 6,000 jobs of which about 3,500 will be of high technological profile.
For additional information on the new line of loans, it is recommended to read the press release that has been published or head to the ENISA's website where the characteristics of the new line are detailed.
