Madrid, October 29, 2024.- The Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Service, Óscar López, held a meeting with the President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Nadia Calviño, in which he reaffirmed the commitment of the Government in financial support for projects aimed at strengthening and growing technological companies.

The EIB is planning to expand the European Technology Champions Fund (ETCI), a programme launched by the EU to support technology projects, which is funded by EU, EIB funds and contributions from several Member States. So far, Spain has contributed 400 million from the Next Tech Fund (PRTR) and will continue to expand those funds.

On the other hand, and within this European strategy of promoting the development of leading technology companies, the EIB fund (EIF) has invested 350 million in a Spanish venture capital instrument, Kembara, focused on Deep Tech and climate.
