Minister Escrivá signs a collaboration agreement with his Brazilian counterpart in the field of State transformation and public management

Rio de Janeiro, July 24, 2024.- The Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function, José Luis Escrivá, and the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Esther Dweck, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in the field of State transformation and the advancement of Public Management. The signing, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Latin American Center for Development (CLAD), Conrado Ramos, took place during the working visit of Minister Escrivá to Brazil to participate in the meeting ‘States of the future’, within the framework of the G20.

The aim of the Memorandum is to strengthen collaboration between the two countries in areas such as digital government, innovation, data governance, people management, with special attention to the inclusive, ethical, secure and efficient use of emerging technologies in public policies. The agreement will last for four years and establishes the different cooperation mechanisms, such as the holding of institutional events, exchange of experiences, interaction between officials and officials of both countries, among others. As members of the CLAD, both countries have reiterated the importance of establishing collaboration for the strengthening of public administration and State capacities convinced of their essential contribution to the development and quality of public services.
