At its meeting on 18 November, the Council of Ministers took note of the Report on the operation of the services of the General State Administration in the territory in 2019, under Law 40/2015 on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector.
The General Government is present in each of the 17 government delegations in the autonomous communities, 2 government delegations in the cities of Ceuta and Melilla, 44 government subdelegations in the provinces and 7 island addresses.
The highlights of the 2019 Report are as follows:
- External Health - Border Inspection Posts: They controlled 763,711 items in international freight traffic, 2.69% more than in 2018. In turn, the 29 International Immunization Centers treated 170,012 travelers and administered a total of 93,993 vaccines.
- Citizen Protection and Security: The Civil Protection Services managed a total of 16,896 preventive alerts and recorded a total of 1,012 events
- Operation Paso del Strait: In the 2019 edition, 3,340.045 people and 760,215 vehicles were boarded, registering a total of 11,184 trips.
- Gender Violence: 2,703 reports have been produced, which represents an increase of 17% compared to the previous year, and the total number of follow-up forms was 51,729.
- Right of assembly and demonstration - Electoral procedure- Legal aid: Three electoral processes were held in 2019: Elections to the General Courts of 28 April 2019. Local, Autonomous and European elections of May 26, 2019. Elections to the General Courts of November 10, 2019. In addition, in those provinces where there is no Territorial Management of the Ministry of Justice, the secretariat of the Free Legal Assistance Commissions is attached to the delegations or subdelegations of the Government. There are 14 in total: 56,202 legal aid cases started in 2019.
- Drug Management: 303,880 kg were received, with a monthly average of 25,323 kg/month.
- Citizen Information and Care: The Information and Citizen Care Offices are incorporated into the 060 Network with a service catalog. In 2019 they attended 3,618,523 consultations.
- Electronic procedures: These offices are pioneers in the use of new technologies and in 2019 4,103,574 documents were registered at the start. 63,947 Digital Certificates were issued by the National Coin and Stamp Factory and a total of 59,921 face-to-face certificates from @Clave.
- Foreign Offices: In 2019, 775,506 applications for authorization were submitted and 763,748 files were resolved.
- High Educational Inspection: During 2019 a total of 127,245 applications have been processed for approvals and validations of foreign university and non-university degrees and studies, Spanish degrees and equivalences of Spanish degrees.
- Complaints: The Administrative Information System (SIA) acts as a catalog of information on administrative processing. During 2019 he received a total of 1,341 complaints and 21 suggestions.
The Report also includes the activities of the Expropriation Jurors, the Promotion Areas that deal with requests for assistance to the transport of goods for the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, or the Areas and Units of Work and Immigration that deal with the aid of returning migrants.
