At the meeting of the Open Government Forum Participation Working Group on 2 March 2021, it was decided to create a community of practices that would take advantage of the experience of all actors, and of the promoters of the many initiatives being developed in the IV Open Government Plan on Citizen Participation in Public Affairs.
The configuration of this community has representatives from the three levels of public administrations, civil society (with the presence of organisations with a high degree of participation) and some international organisations (in particular Colombia, Mexico, Italy and OECD participation).
The primary objective of this Community lies in the design and exchange of practical elements and, where possible, the co-creation of experiences that help to implement in the area of responsibility of each sector or body, concrete issues to facilitate citizen participation in the sphere of its competences. The community will be dynamised by a professional with extensive experience and solvency in this area and supported by the General Directorate of Public Governance, in particular by the General Sub-directorate of Open Government.
