Appointment of career officials of the Senior Corps of State Insurance Inspectors

In the State Gazette the Resolution of 8 September 2021, of the Secretariat of State for Civil Service, appointing career officials, by the general system of free access, of the Higher Body of State Insurance Inspectors, was published on 18 September.

It is a body of the General Administration of the State attached to the extinct Ministry of Economy and Enterprise. It is entrusted with functions of control and inspection of insurance and savings institutions, pension schemes and funds and insurance co-runs.

It is also responsible for authorizing the start, transformation, transfer of portfolio, etc. on insurance institutions and the drawing up of rules relating to insurance and pension schemes and funds.

In order to participate in the selective process, applicants must be in possession of the title of Bachelor, Engineer, Architect or Bachelor, or have fulfilled the conditions to obtain it at the end of the deadline for submission of applications.

The opposition phase shall consist of five exercises, all mandatory and eliminatory:

· The first exercise will consist of the resolution, in writing, of a questionnaire of 20 questions on legal, economic and actuarial matters.

· The second exercise will consist of the resolution, in writing, of four practical accounting cases of each part of the agenda.

· The third exercise concerns the English language.

· The fourth exercise will consist of resolving five theoretical-practical issues

· The fifth exercise will consist of exposing, orally and in the order in which they appear in the programme, four randomly extracted topics.

All applicants who have passed the opposition phase will take a selective course, organised by the Institute for Tax Studies, which will last for a maximum of six academic months.
