14/01/2021

The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civil Service has launched an awareness-raising campaign aimed at strengthening the culture of protection against the COVID-19 coronavirus among public employees and employees, also at work.

The campaign is already disseminated through the Intranet as well as through the social networks Twitter and Facebook of the Ministry itself with the hashtag #Campaign CultureProtectionAGE and has been made available to the different ministerial departments.

The intention is to focus on measures that contribute to the prevention of coronavirus transmission, to protect the health of public employees and employees and of the citizens they serve, and to collaborate on the common objectives of cumulative incidence.

Likewise, a number of indications are added on how to proceed in the event that public employees present symptoms, have been in contact or have been diagnosed or diagnosed positively by COVID-19.

The campaign has been designed, following the recommendations of the health authorities and the resolutions of the State Secretariat for Territorial Policy and Civil Service on the prevention of the pandemic.

Recommendations include avoiding face-to-face meetings and promoting telematic formats such as videoconferencing, not smoking in the entrances of buildings without respecting the safety distance of two meters or respecting the forums provided in the 'office', meeting rooms or breaks for food.

It also insists on keeping the safe distance between people of at least one and a half metres in enclosed spaces and it is recommended to keep doors and windows open and ventilate the workspaces for at least 15 minutes every 8 hours.

Likewise, the campaign affects the importance of frequent hand hygiene, use of disposable scarves, avoid touching the eyes, nose, mouth and other mucous areas of the body or touching other people's work equipment.

The promotion of the use of remote system IT assistance for incidents in public administration equipment, frequent cleaning of the most used surfaces, the proper use of masks and the unloading of the free mobile application Radar Covid, are also part of this series of recommendations.

Finally, the campaign details how to proceed if employees and public employees present symptoms compatible with COVID-19, have had close contact with infected people or have been positively diagnosed with COVID-19.

In this case, it is recommended, among others, for public employees, the use of a mask, minimizing contacts, notifying the situation to their superiors, as well as leaving the workplace as soon as possible.
