National Crypto Centre and INAP sign a partnership agreement to boost the training of public employees in cybersecurity

18/09/2020

The Secretary of State Director of the National Intelligence Center and the National Crypto Center, Dña. Paz Esteban, and the director of the National Institute of Public Administration, D. Mariano Fernández, have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the training of public employees in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) security.

The aim of this Convention is to extend specialised training in ICT security for public employees, in order to strengthen and ensure technological security. For this reason, the signed agreement provides for joint organisation, participation or collaboration in courses, seminars or professional safety itineraries and other similar training and/or awareness-raising activities.

The signing of this Convention represents a further step in the close collaboration between the two bodies for years in the organisation of this type of activity, as they have additional competences and functions on the security training of information and communication technology systems.

The agreement also provides for the exchange of information and documentation relating to the security of information and communication technologies. To this end, the CCN will provide the series of CCN-STIC guides developed for the Administration in order to adapt them to the INAP environments.

During 2020 and as a result of the situation caused by the COVID-19 crisis, the National Crypto Centre and the National Institute of Public Administration have made a major effort to maintain all planned training of public employees in cybersecurity. To do this, the different courses, contents and activities programmed, which both agencies jointly develop, have been adapted to be delivered in non-classroom mode through VANESA, the streaming platform developed by the CCN-CERT.
