Madrid, December 19, 2024.- My Citizen Folder, a service offered by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, already has an official new version available in which it incorporates, as a great milestone, a new access profile for companies. This new feature of My Citizen Folder has been presented by the Ministers of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Body, and for the Digital Transformation and Public Function, Óscar López.

“My Citizen Profile Business Folder will allow companies to know their data in one space. They will be able to access the documentation about their properties and vehicles; check if they are up to date with payments with the Tax Agency, regional farms and Social Security or receive notifications about their files. In short, we open a new access so that companies can quickly and easily consult all the information about them that the administration has”, explained Minister López.

"The folder is very much aligned with the effort we are making in collaboration with the autonomous communities and local corporations in the so-called Regime 20. This initiative aims to eliminate barriers to the activity of our companies, facilitate their growth, reduce their costs and, therefore, take full advantage of the internal market we have in Spain," said Minister Corps.

From this version, the services and data offered can be extended with those that are detected as of greatest interest.

The app of My Citizen Folder, since its launch, adds more than five million downloads and 48 million accesses. More than 5.3 million citizens have used it at some point.

This initiative grows and evolves thanks to the excellent collaboration and joint work with the different state, regional, local, university, judicial administrations, etc.

It is an application open to any citizen to transmit their suggestions through a form, so that new features can be included in future versions adapted to the needs of greater demand.

The new version of Citizen Folder is available for iOS and Android devices as well as through its website. In addition to the specific profile for companies, it incorporates other general improvements for citizenship, such as the consultation of properties, qualifications and certificates in the nautical field; the connection with a new appointment app; consultation of information on pensions for groups of the passive classes regime; or an update of the service of consultation of information on the degree of disability. In addition, there has been the incorporation of more than 900 Catalan municipalities to the Single Qualified Electronic Address – DEHú, in this way the citizens can know through My Citizen Folder the communications and pending notifications of more than 88.7% of the Spanish municipalities.

Digital Transformation of Public Administrations

My Citizen Folder was the first mobile application within the App Factory measure of the Digitization Plan of the Public Administrations, whose objective is to promote the development of quality mobile services for the main public services.

My Citizen Folder allows to consult from the mobile, and from a single point, personal documentation from very different areas (education, real estate, vehicles, residence, social and unemployment benefits, work, clinical history, etc. ), in the case of natural persons, and specific documentation of the company. It also facilitates access to files and notifications of the public administration through the Single Qualified Electronic Address – DEHú. In addition, in My Citizen Folder it is possible to know the prior appointments managed by the public administrations, and receive notices about expirations of procedures related to ID, Passport, Driving License and ITV. In this way, the relationship between administration and citizenship is simplified in an accessible, proactive and personalized way from any device.

The application has received several awards, such as the Internet 2023 Awards, where it was awarded as the best digital transformation project in the public sector; the National Computer Engineering Awards, where it was recognized as the best public project; the SOCINFO Awards and the CNIS Awards, and the recently received Best Public Project at the ABB Ability Awards.
