Red.es launches a new Digital Kit for medium-sized businesses with AI solutions

• From 12 December at 11 a.m., medium-sized companies will be able to apply for their digital voucher. The deadline will be open until 30 June 2025 • The amount of aid will be € 25,000 for segment IV (companies between 50 and less than 100 employees), and € 29,000 for segment V (companies between 100 and less than 250 employees). • In this call for medium-sized companies, the catalog of solutions is updated adapting the needs of this segment of companies and incorporating Artificial Intelligence technologies in some solutions of the catalog.

Madrid, December 9, 2024.- The Government, through the public entity Red.es, has today presented a new call for the Digital Kit program aimed at medium-sized companies from 50 to 250 employees. For the first time, the catalogue of technological solutions that companies will be able to acquire with this aid incorporates Artificial Intelligence tools.

“The success of the Digital Kit shows that Red.Es has become an indispensable digital lever. A public company that offers real solutions because it knows first-hand the daily needs of the businesses to which it is directed”, explained the Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function, Óscar López, in the presentation of the new call in the Chamber of Commerce.

The amount of the grants, the digital bonus, for this call will be € 25,000 for those companies between 50 and less than 100 employees and € 29,000 for companies whose number of employees is between 100 and less than 250 employees.

Digital solutions incorporating Artificial Intelligence technologies

Companies will be able to access a catalogue of 14 solutions that has been updated and adapted to the needs of their size. For the first time, Artificial Intelligence technologies are incorporated. The catalogue is available on the Acelera SME website and consists of the following categories: eCommerce, Social Media Management, Customer Management, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Process Management, Electronic Billing and Invoice Management, Virtual Office Services and Tools, Secure Communications, Cybersecurity, Advanced Internet Presence, Managed Cybersecurity Service, Customer Management with Associated AI, Business Intelligence and Analytics and Associated AI and Process Management with Associated AI.

Some solutions are incompatible, as is the case of process management and process management with AI, customer management and customer management with AI and Business Intelligence and and Analytics and and Business Intelligence and Analytics and AI. In these cases, the beneficiary companies will only be able to sign agreements for each of them.

How to request the help of Digital Kit: simple and agile process

From 12 December 2024 at 11 a.m., medium-sized enterprises with between 50 and less than 250 employees will be able to apply for the help of the Digital Kit program through the electronic headquarters of Red.es (https://sede.red.gob.es). The application period will be open until June 30, 2025.

To apply for assistance, the medium-sized enterprise must:

  1. Register in the private area of www.acelerapyme.es and complete the digital self-diagnosis test that takes no more than 10 minutes.
  2. Consult the available information of the digitalization solutions of the Kit Digital program, where you can choose one or several of the ones indicated in the catalog that can be consulted in www.acelerapyme.es.
  3. Request assistance at the electronic headquarters of Red.es (https://sede.red.gob.es).

Once it is verified that the company meets the requirements, the digital bonus is awarded. The beneficiary may consult in www.acelerapyme.es the catalogue of basic digitisation solutions offered by the Kit Digital programme and the catalogue of digitisation agents. You will need to select one or more digitizing agents with which to develop the digitization solutions that best suit the needs of your business and sign the “digitization solution delivery agreements”.

The grants are of non-competitive concurrence and will be granted directly and in order of arrival, once the checks of compliance with the requirements required in the call for proposals have been made.

Under the motto “zero papers”, Red.es has designed a very innovative processing system using robotization tools and automated artificial intelligence that reduces the bureaucratic burden, decreases the number of documents to be submitted and shortens the concession deadlines. The company will be able to request the help without providing any documentation. It will be sufficient for the entrepreneur to authorize Red.es to consult ex officio the requirements and obligations required to obtain the status of beneficiary, safeguarding transparency and legal certainty. In order to facilitate the maximum access to the aid, the figure of the “voluntary representative” has been enabled, that is, that any third party is a natural or legal person, duly authorized, can request the aid on behalf of the company. In this invitation, the volunteer representative may submit a maximum of 100 applications per day.

11,200 digitizing agents and five open calls

Currently, the catalog of digitizing agents is composed of more than 11,200 adhered agents.

The digitizing agents are the only ones authorized to enter into “agreements to provide digitization solutions” with the companies benefiting from the Digital Kit program and holders of the digital voucher, and they can collaborate in the process of applying for the aid being also voluntary representatives, as well as in the control actions derived from them.

In addition, they will be the ones who present all the supporting documentation and those who receive the payment of the digital voucher given by the beneficiary, once their justification has been accepted.

Since the Programme was launched in March 2022, five calls have been opened for the digitisation of SMEs. Currently, all the calls are open.

Digital Kit Program

The Digital Kit program promoted by the Government of Spain and managed by Red.es, aims to promote the digitization of medium-sized, small businesses, micro-enterprises and self-employed people, and contribute to modernizing the Spanish productive fabric.

It is endowed with a budget of 3,067 million euros, financed by the European Union through the funds NextGenerationEU, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, the Digital Spain 2025 agenda and the Digitalization Plan for SMEs 2021-2025.
