08/09/2022

The Sectoral Conference on Public Administration, in which the Ministries of Finance and Public Function, Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and Health met, with the Autonomous Communities, the Autonomous Cities of Ceuta and Melilla and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), approved the territorial distribution of the appropriations of the Digital Transformation and Modernization Plan for 2022.

In particular, the annuity of 2022 is divided and the allocation criteria and amounts allocated for the entire credit of EUR 460,372,255 are laid down. Of these, EUR 239,072,255 will be distributed in 2022 and EUR 221,300,000 will be outstanding in 2023.

Through the work of this Sectoral Conference, it is a question of giving impetus to the process of transforming public administrations in terms of the investments and reforms contained in Component 11 of the Recovery Plan.

Secretary of State for Civil Service, Lidia Sánchez Milan, stressed that Axis 3 of the Plan, ‘Digitization of CCAA and local entities’, aims to modernize them “in a coherent and coordinated manner” with the investments made at the cross-sectional level by the General Government of the State, according to the criteria of consistency and impact expected by the European Commission.

This Conference is held following the meeting of the Council of Ministers on 1 August, in which an Agreement was approved authorising the proposal for territorial distribution and the criteria for the distribution between the Communities, INGESA and Ceuta and Melilla of the budgetary appropriations for the investment ‘Digital transformation and modernisation of the Autonomous Communities’, of component 11 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan 2022 and 2023.
