He has recently been in the United States inspecting plasma donation centres that are then used in the European Union to manufacture medicines, an opportunity for international expertise that he never imagined the public administration would give him.

The AEMPS, as a state agency attached to the Ministry of Health, is responsible for ensuring to society, from the public service perspective, the quality, safety, efficacy and correct information of medicines and medical devices, from their research to their use, in the interest of protecting and promoting human health, animal health and the environment.
