The Senior Civil Service Corps of the State is attached to the Ministry of Finance and Civil Service and its functions are carried out in the conduct of management, management, advisory and study activities in relation to the various public policies developed by the General Government of the State, through the various central and territorial bodies of the Ministries and Public Bodies, as well as in the Administration abroad.
It was created on the occasion of the merger of the Technical Bodies of the various Ministries during the sixties, initially referred to as the Technical Body of the Civil Administration (TAC), acquiring its current name from the Law 30/1984 on the Reform of the Civil Service.
