On 5 November, the resolution of the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy and Civil Service, appointing career officials of the Higher Corps of State Insurance Inspectors, was published in the Official State Gazette.
It is a body attached to the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transformation, which is responsible for the exercise of the functions of control and inspection of insurance and savings institutions, pension schemes and funds and insurance co-operatives. It is also responsible, inter alia, for the authorisation of the start-up, transformation and transfer of portfolio relating to insurance institutions and the development of legislation relating to insurance and pension schemes and funds.
To access this body, it is required to have the degree of Bachelor, Engineer, Architect or Degree.
The opposition phase consists of the following exercises:
- First exercise: It consists in the written resolution of a questionnaire of 20 questions which the Court will propose for each of the two groups of subjects: legal, economic or actuarial.
- Second exercise: Consists in the written resolution of four practical Accounting cases, one for each of the items on the agenda.
- Third exercise: Languages
- Fourth exercise: It shall consist of the resolution, in writing, of five theoretical and practical questions on financial transactions.
- Fifth exercise: It will consist of an oral presentation of four randomly extracted subjects, with the following distribution: one item on the Constitutional, Administrative and Community Law programme, and three items on the Insurance and Pension Funds programme.
Applicants who have passed the opposition phase will undertake a selective course, which will be organized by the Institute for Fiscal Studies, in order to acquire knowledge for the exercise of the functions of that Body. The course will include a gender equality module and a gender violence module.
