What is the INFORMA service?
INFORMA is an information service attached to the Subdirectorate-General for the Legal System of the Directorate-General for the Civil Service. Its creation responds to the commitment of the General Administration of the State to transparency and citizen access to public information of the Secretary of State for Public Service. In this way, it is intended to promote a closer, effective and transparent communication between citizens and the Public Administration.
This service responds to citizens’ inquiries, providing information on public service regulations within the framework of the General Administration of the State, guiding them on the applicable legislation and indicating their source.
However, it is important to point out that the service does not offer advice to individuals or interpret regulations.
What functions does the INFORMA service have?
- Provide up-to-date information on the current regulations in the field of public service and on some of the procedures applicable in the General Administration of the State.
- Respond to inquiries related to the application of public service regulations, guiding citizens on the legislation applicable to public employees, without the service having competence in the interpretation of such regulations.
- Indicate, where appropriate, the ministerial department, body, public administration or unit competent according to the consultation.
To whom is it reported?
To public employees and other citizens interested in the human resources policy of the General Administration of the State.
What does the INFORMA service not do?
- It does not report on the states of the selective processes.
- It does not advise individuals.
- It does not interpret regulations.
- It does not manage human resources procedures.
- It does not review actions or resolutions issued by the Public Administrations.
