One of the powers of the Directorate-General for Public Governance is the design, impetus and follow-up within the General Government of the State of actions to reduce administrative and regulatory burdens, and simplify administrative procedures.
Compliance with the formalities established by a standard implies displacements, waits and costs that are not always justified. Thus, there are unnecessary, repetitive or especially complex procedures that can be abolished, reduced or simplified. The Administration works to reduce unnecessary bureaucracy and be more efficient and invites citizens and businesses to participate in the policy of reducing administrative burdens, in this section.
This area publishes information on the reduction of administrative burdens and simplification of procedures, reference documents on the actions carried out in the area of reducing administrative burdens both at national and international level, improving regulation and access, through the Electronic General Access Point, to a mailbox where businesses and citizens can leave their suggestions.
