The Secretariat of State for Civil Service is the body responsible, under the senior management of the head of the department, for the impetus, direction and management of government policy in the field of public administration and digital administration; public service and public employment; public governance, organisation, procedures and inspection of services of the State General Administration; the system of incompatibilities and conflicts of interests of the members of the Government and senior civil servants.
It is also responsible for the coordination of personnel policy between the various public administrations, relations with trade union organisations in the field of public service and for the coordination, encouragement and management of international affairs in the field of the State Secretariat.
