The State Secretariat for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, under the superior direction of the person who holds the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, will exercise the functions provided in Article 62 of Law 40/2015, of 1 October, of the Legal Regime of the Public Sector in the sphere of its competences, relating to the policy of promoting the digitization of the Spanish society and economy in a way.

To this end, it is responsible for the promotion and regulation of digital services and of the digital economy and society, for dialogue with the professional, industrial and academic sectors and for coordination and cooperation between ministries and other public administrations on these matters, without prejudice to the powers conferred on other ministerial departments.
